Angelica Panganiban - a Filipino American model, TV host and actress is an American comedian. Angelica Hale, then 4 years old, became extremely sick in 2012 as a result of a strep pneumonia bacterial infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston put her on ECMO, a life-saving intervention. She became septic, suffering organ failure, including kidneys which did not heal. Peritoneal dialysis, and then hemolysis changed her life to a new normal. After an 80-day hospital stay Angelica appeared to be dying and then on a road towards healing. Angelica's life forever changed after she underwent dialysis for kidneys. It was her own mother who would donate the kidney. Angelica, along with her mom, underwent an organ transplant successfully on September 13th 2013 in two amazing hospitals that were located right next to each other: Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale is pursuing her celebrity dreams from the moment she was born.
